USTA Southwest
NTRP Championships
USTA Southwest | January 15, 2020
Level-based play is what tennis is all about, as everyone likes to play and be tested by similarly-skilled individuals. With that in mind, the USTA has created the USTA NTRP National Championships, a true national, level-based event that feeds in from local and regional play.
NTRP national champions will be crowned in men’s and women’s singles and doubles at the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 levels in 18 & Over and 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 in 50 & Over age groups*
This opportunity to compete at the nationals...starts at a local and regional level.
HOW TO QUALIFY
In the Southwest, you can compete in several NTRP tournaments across the region on a weekly basis, in men's and women's divisions, singles and doubles. Competing in these local events helps one earn points toward an end-of-year USTA Southwest ranking, and is one way to qualify for the USTA NTRP National Championships, as being the top player (or team) in your division is guranteed one of the Southwest two automatic spots per division.
Another way is to compete (and win your division) at the USTA Southwest NTRP Championships, a regional qualifying tournament.
