The USTA and USTA Missouri Valley recognize the importance of a team environment. We offer several different team competitions throughout the year.

If you are interested in applying to coach one of our teams this summer, please view our coaching policies and fill out our coaching application by April 1.

 

If you are a player or parent of a player interested in competing in one of our team competitions, please click here to review our team guidelines.

 

Please note, players are responsible for their travel and lodging arrangements for all team tournaments. In compliance with the US Olympic Committee recommendation coaches are not permitted to transport or chaperone players. Players will need to travel with a parent/guardian or designated chaperone.

 

National Team Events

Zonals:  July 25-29

The Zone Team Championships are a National Level 2 tournament in which players get to compete as a team against players from other sections. ADVERTISEMENT The number of teams the USTA Missouri Valley will field varies based on the schedule released by USTA.  Each team will consist of six boys and six girls with one coach. Selection is based on the most recent USTA Missouri Valley Standing List at the time of the entry deadline.

 

The tournament dates are July 25-29. Players must register on the USTA Missouri Valley registration page (this is different than the tournament homepage). The tournament ID is: 400010019. The entry deadline is June 25.

 

The 12s Zone Team event will be held at Koch Family Tennis Center - Omaha, Nebraska

The 14s Zone Team Event will be held at Arlington Tennis Center - Arlington, Texas

The 16s Zone Team Event will be held at Oklahoma City Tennis Center - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

 

Intersectionals: July 6-10 (BG14) and July 7-11 (BG16)

 

Intersectionals is a National Level 1 tournament in which players get to compete as a team against players from other sections. The USTA Missouri Valley will send one team of four boys and four girls along with one coach to each event (the BG14 and BG16 events are at different locations). The fourth player will be rotated into the line-up at the discretion of the coach. Selection is based on a player’s UTR at the time of selection.

 

 

The event is played on clay in preparation for the National Clay Court Championships. Players must register on the USTA Missouri Valley registration page (this is different than the tournament homepage). The tournament ID is: 400009919. The entry deadline is April 30.

 

 

The USTA Missouri Valley will  provide team uniforms and a coach for the event. Players are responsible for the entry fee and processing fee and are also responsible for all travel costs.  The USTA Missouri Valley does not permit a coach to serve as chaperone or transport players. Each player must travel with a parent/guardian or chaperone.

 

The BG14s Event will be held at Auburn Univ. Yarbrough Tennis Facility – Auburn, Alabama

The BG16s Event will be held at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club – Shreveport, Louisiana

BG18 (Davis & Fed Cup):  July 27-30 (Boys) and July 28-31 (Girls)

 

This is a National Level 1 tournament in which players get to compete as a team against teams from the other sections. The USTA Missouri Valley will send one team of seven boys and seven girls along with one coach to each of the events. The 7th position will be rotated into the line-up at the discretion of the coach. Selection is based on a player’s UTR at the time of selection.

 

Players must register on the USTA Missouri Valley Registration page (this is different than the tournament homepage). The Boys tournament ID is 400010219. The entry deadline is June 25.

 

The Girls tournament ID is 400010119. The entry deadline is June 25.

The USTA Missouri Valley will provide a coach for the week, and supply team uniforms. Players will be responsible for payment of the registration fee and processing fee when registering.

 

Specific details regarding travel arrangements and tournament format will be sent to the selected players by the USTA Missouri Valley endorser. You can also continue to check back here for more information.

 

The Boys 18s National Team Championship is held at Atkins Tennis Center at the University of Illinois.

The Girls 18s National Team Championship is held at Claremont Tennis Club in Claremont, CA.

 

Section Team Events

Missouri Valley Team Events: May 25-27 (Missouri Valley 12s & 14s Team Event)

 

USTA MV BG12-14 Team Event: This is a chance for a little district rivalry!  Each district will send one team of eight girls and eight boys to the event to compete for district bragging rights. There will be four players from each age division (four B12, four G12, four B14, four G14) selected by a process of the district’s choice. Players interested in competing should register with their district. Each district is responsible for choosing the members of the team. Below is information on the event and contact information for each district.

 

The event will be held at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
