USTA Eastern

10 & Under Team Tennis

Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is the flagship junior program of the USTA that combines competition with the fun and camaraderie of playing on a team. It is a fundamental part of the USTA’s American Development Model (ADM) framework, which emphasizes engaging young players in a fun atmosphere and fostering positive relationships within a team culture.

JTT for 10 and Under (10U) is offered in two divisions: Orange Ball and Green Ball. Typically JTT events for the age group are held over one day, but certain regions may offer leagues with multiple dates.

The Net Generation PlayTracker allows players and their parents to track progress at USTA JTT events. Players will receive "play points" for participating in any orange ball JTT team event and "play points" plus results-based "win points" at the green level. Local Leagues

JTT local leagues feature a season of team-based competition that ranges from 4-8 weeks depending on the region. Local leagues are offered in both orange and green ball divisions.

A 4-8 week JTT season will count as one event in the Net Generation PlayTracker. Any player who plays in at least one match during a season earns 100 total Net Generation PlayTracker "play points". Learn more about "play points".

Find a Team

The majority of USTA Eastern clubs and providers participate in JTT leagues or tournaments.  Players can join a team from a participant club/provider. If you are a coach interested in registering a team, please contact Gustavo Loza at loza@eastern.usta.com.

All 10U JTT events are non-elimination. The format will vary depending on the number of teams: Round Robin, Round Robin with Playoffs or Compass Draw. Local coordinators will assign the match format.

Age Eligibility

Players must be eligible in the ball color level they intend to play at the date of the event. Players at the green ball level of the Net Generation PlayTracker are permitted to play orange ball events.
