For the 2024 Championship Season USTA Missouri Valley will use MVCJTT Qualifiers and Summer Junior Team Tennis Local Leagues to qualify teams to compete in our MVCJTT Section Championships.
What are the opportunities for advancement?
All players and teams must compete in at least one match in an MVJTT Qualifier or win a Summer Junior Team Tennis Local League to become eligible for Section Championships.
ALL Qualifiers are OPEN, which means, teams can travel to participate in the Qualifier they choose.
Teams can compete in more than 1 Qualifier.
All Local Leagues, Qualifiers, teams and players must follow USTA MISSOURI VALLEY CHAMPIONSHIP JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS 2024 REGULATIONS
To be eligible for Section Championships, a team must either secure the 1st or 2nd position in their respective division at a Qualifier or win their Summer Local League Division, which includes playoffs or championship.
There will also be Wildcard opportunities in each division
What age divisions are offered in Qualifiers and Local Leagues that are advancing teams?
14U Championship (WTN 40-10)
18U Championship (WTN 40-10)
WTN (World Tennis Number) Team Averages will be used in each division to create pools of play (when necessary on the size of the field)
When and Where will Qualifiers take place?
March 1 / Registration for all section qualifiers opens
June 14-15 - Qualifier 1 - Waterloo, IA - Byrnes Tennis Center
June 18-19 - Qualifier 2 - Tulsa, OK - Case Tennis Center @ Lafortune Park
June 19-20 - Qualifier 3 - Kearney, NE - Harmon Park and Centennial
June 24-25 - Qualifier 4 - St. Louis, MO - Dwight Davis Tennis Center
June 26-27 - Qualifier 5 - Kansas City, MO - TBA
How does a team register my team for a Qualifier?
Coaches or Team Managers must complete:
Reserve your team's spot in a Qualifier today by filling out this Team Registration Form!!
All teams must fill out the above form to receive a team # and registration link for the Qualifier that you would like to participate in! One form per team!
Once a team receives their Team # and registration link, they will register through TennisLink

What is the team format?
Minimum 4 boys and 4 girls (no maximum)
What is the match format?
1 boys’ and 1 girls’ singles / 1 boys’ and 1 girls’ doubles / 1 mixed doubles
Order of play: Boys & Girls Singles / Boys & Girls Doubles / Mixed is always the last match on (if applicable)
No Doubling Up
A Player may only participate in ONE individual match per team match.
What is the scoring format?
Tournament Directors or Local League Coordinators can choose between the scoring formats below based on court availability and time restraints.
The scoring format will be posted on the TennisLink homepage.
No-Ad Scoring; Best 2 out of 3 sets to 6 games.
A 7 point tie break will be played at 5 games all (win by a margin of 2)
A 10 point tie break played for the 3rd set (win by a margin of 2)
OR
No-Ad Scoring; 1 set to 6 games.
A 7 point tie break will be played at 5 games all (win by a margin of 2)
When and Where are the USTA Missouri Valley Junior Team Tennis Section Championships?
14U Championship and 18U Championship divisions
Dates: July 16-17, 2024

NUMBER OF QUALIFIERS: The Section will offer 5 Qualifiers for the championship year 2024
ADVANCEMENT: All players and teams must compete in at least one match in an MVJTT Qualifier or win a Summer Junior Team Tennis Local League to become eligible for Section Championships.
JUNIOR RANKING POINTS AND JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS: Junior ranking points will not be awarded for player participation in USTA Missouri Valley Junior Team Tennis Section Qualifiers or USTA Missouri Valley Junior Team Tennis Section Championships. Player WILL receive credit toward their WTN.
