Beginners Won their first Tennis Championship
On April 27 and 28, it was held the closing of the first season of the 2019 Adults Beginner Program in the Caguas Sports Complex. Around 80 participants entered this program that began in February looking for experience to be part of the recreational leagues by categories that the USTA will offer next year.
The Champion teams of this edition were: Torrimar in the men’s category and La Grana, Guaynabo in the women’s category captained by Rubén Guadalupe.
Torrimar women’s team caught the Finalist trophy while Baldrich and Paisajes of Luquillo by Erasmo Almonte get the Third and Fourth place in this tournament. The Mayaguez team finished as finalists in the men's category.
The Recreational Tennis Program for Beginners is divided into two seasons (February - April, and August - November) and is exclusively aimed at adults, 18 years of age or older, with a maximum playing level of 2.0 (according to the NTRP guidelines) and players without USTA league experiences.
The second season continues in August 2019 and registrations are now open by calling 787-982-7782 Ext. 227 or 231. You just need a captain and build your team.
