The USTA Eastern Long Island Region will celebrate the achievements -- both on the court and off -- of our members and member organizations at the 29th Annual Long Island Region Awards Dinner to be held at the Chateau Briand on May 2, 2019. - 5:00 p.m. - Registration and Photographs

NEW: Aranxta Sanchez-Vicario to be Guest Speaker/Presenter at 29th Annual USTA Long Island Awards Dinner
The USTA Long Island Regional Council has announced that tennis great Aranxta Sanchez-Vicario will attend the group’s 29th Annual Awards Dinner as guest speaker and will also pose for photographs with the awardees.ADVERTISEMENT
Sanchez-Vicario, a 2007 inductee in the International Tennis Hall of Fame, has a storied tennis career. She achieved the World #1 ranking in 1995 and is a 14-time Grand Slam champion (four singles, six doubles and four mixed) and 17-time finalist, with 102 career titles in singles, doubles and mixed. She is a two-time WTA World Tour doubles champion and has won several Olympic medals: Silver medalist in Women’s Doubles and Bronze medalist in Women’s Singles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and Silver medalist in Women’s Singles and Bronze medalist in Women’s Doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. She was a member and captain of the Spanish Federation Cup team.
