UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS

CLOSED LEVEL 4 TOURNAMENTS

Kick off the new year with some fun tournament play! Our upcoming Closed Level 4 tournaments are happening  February 18-20. And as a bonus, the February doubles divisions are being elevated to Level 3 points! Find your division below and be sure to register before the deadlines.

TOURNAMENT UPDATES

USTA NATIONAL'S AREAS OF FOCUS 2023

The USTA National office has announced the main areas of focus for 2023 when it comes to junior competition. An emphasis is being placed on both team events and more localized play as we continue to try to improve the overall junior competition experience for both players and parents. Learn more.

 

WTN NAMED OFFICIAL RATING SYSTEM OF COLLEGE TENNIS

A major announcement this month by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association — ITA is adopting the ITF World Tennis Number as its exclusive, official rating for college tennis. The ITA was partnered with UTR up until the end of 2022. Learn more.

NATIONAL WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS

We received the National Winter Championships results and congratulations are in order for these three Midwest players:

  • B14s Singles Finalist - Colin McPeek, IN
  • B16s Singles 3rd Place - Mitchell Sheldon, IL
  • B18s Singles 3rd Place - Brandon Carpico, OH
 
AUSTRALIAN OPEN

Players are battling it out in Melbourne for a Grand Slam title. We are excited to cheer on our Midwest competitors, and that includes Ashton Bowers from Mid-South Illinois who will play in the Australian Open Junior Championship!


GRANT OPPORTUNITY

The USTA/Midwest Tennis & Education Foundation has a great opportunity to win a sportschair! All that's required is for the interested party to fill out this form. It's that simple! The deadline to enter is Tuesday, January 31.
