Midwest Closed & College Showcase: June 20-25
The USTA Midwest Closed Junior Championships, the most prestigious junior tournament in the Midwest Section, is almost here! The tournament, which takes place June 21-25, is a Closed Level 3 event, and players must earn the right to play or be endorsed by their respective USTA district. On June 20, one day before the tournament, high school student-athletes and Midwest Closed players are invited to attend our College Showcase. College tennis coaches will discuss the recruiting process, and players will get a chance to hit the courts and showcase their skills in front of them.
Mid-America Mashup: June 27-29
June's second Level 4 team tournament, the Mid-America Mashup, is back! This tournament was founded last year and was a huge success. The competition is closed to members and residents of the USTA Midwest, Missouri Valley, Middle States and Mid-Atlantic Sections, with player selections based on the most recent National Standings List (NSL).
Battle of the Mississippi: July 25-27
Another summer competition, the Battle of the Mississippi, a Level 2 Intersectional team tournament with players from three sections—Midwest, Northern and Missouri Valley—is right around the corner. Team USTA Midwest has taken home the trophy for four years in a row. Who will win it this time?
