Drake Tennis To Host Kids Day Event
Kids will have the opportunity to do tennis drills with the Drake Women's Tennis Team on Saturday, March 18, at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center, 2421 Clark Street in Des Moines. Anyone aged 7-18 years old, regardless of skill level, are invited to the event.
Head women’s coach, Breaunna Addison hopes kids will learn new tennis skills, have fun, and attend some of the women’s matches in the future. Attendees will be able to watch the women take on the University of Illinois Chicago after the event.
“We are planning to provide giveaways and refreshments for our participants,” she said. “In addition, we would like to incorporate a "Bulldog Buddy" opportunity for nine younger participants to do the coin toss for the singles and doubles matches.”
