Junior Team Tennis opportunities in Iowa
Don't miss out on this opportunity for you and your team(s) to participate in one or all three of the USTA Junior Team Tennis offerings taking place in Iowa in the summer of 2024! Learn more about each opportunity below.
2024 USTA Iowa Summer 10 & Under and 12 & Under League - Des Moines Area
- Divisions Offered: 12 & Under Green Ball and 10 & Under Orange Ball (boys and/or girls, gender-neutral)
- Start Date: Monday, June 10
- Team Match Times: Between 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. each week
- Dates: June 10, 17, 24; July 1 (We will create rain dates if needed.)
- Location: Des Moines Area / Home and Away Team Matches; Facilities to provide three courts per home team match
- Each team must have a team manager or coach
- Match Format: One singles and two doubles / three courts per team match
- Team Composition: Five players minimum (boys and/or girls, gender-neutral, no maximum)
- Registration Fee Per Player: $45 + processing fee
- Players must remain the age of the division they are registering for until the end of the season
- Players must register by June 3 at 11:59 p.m. (EST)

2024 USTA Iowa Summer High School League - Des Moines Area
- Divisions Offered: 14 & Under Yellow Ball and 18 & Under Yellow Ball (boys and/or girls, gender-neutral)
- Start Date: Tuesday, June 11
- Team Match Times: Between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. each week
- Dates: June 11, 18, 25; July 2 (We will create rain dates if needed.)
- Location: Valley High School tennis courts (neutral facility)
- Each team must have a team manager or coach
- Match Format: One singles and two doubles / three courts per team match
- Team Composition: 5 players minimum (boys and/or girls, gender-neutral, no maximum)
- Registration Fee Per Player: $45 + processing fee
- Players must remain the age of the division they are registering for until the end of the season
- Players must register by June 4 at 11:59 p.m. (EST)

2024 USTA Missouri Valley JTT Section Qualifier - Waterloo, Iowa: June 14-15
What is a Junior Team Tennis Section Qualifier?
Qualifiers are team events that create an opportunity for teams throughout the section with at least four girls and four boys to compete together and advance to our Section Championships. The Section Championships are held July 16-17 at Edmond Center Court in Edmond, Okla. The divisions offered for the qualifiers are 14 & Under Championship and 18 & Under Championship. Teams must have a coach or team manager, and players must remain the age of the division they are participating in until August 31, 2024.
To reserve your team's spot in the Waterloo, Iowa qualifier, please complete this Team Registration Form.
*Please note that only potential team coaches or team managers need to complete the form, and one form is required per team/qualifier. Team registration closes for each qualifier four days before the event takes place.
- Teams from across Iowa can register and participate
- Dates: June 14-15
- Location: Byrnes Tennis Center in Waterloo, Iowa
- Divisions Offered: 14 & Under Championship and 18 & Under Championship
- Team Composition: Teams must consist of a minimum of four boys and four girls; no maximum
- Match Format: One boys' singles, one boys' doubles, one girls' singles, one girls' doubles, one mixed doubles
- Scoring Format: No-Ad scoring, best two out of three sets to six games. A seven-point tiebreak will be played at 5-5 (win by a margin of two). A 10-point tiebreak is played for the third set (win by a margin of two)
- Registration Fee Per Player: $35 + processing fee
- All players must be registered by Thursday, June 10
Qualifications:
- Players must be USTA members in good standing
- All players must be age-eligible through August 31 of the MVCJTT Championship Year (2024)
- All players and teams must compete in at least one match in a MVCJTT qualifier to become eligible for the MVCJTT Section Championships
- The World Tennis Number (WTN) will be used in the USTA’s Digital Platform to determine the play levels
Advancement:
- The top two teams from each qualifier in each division will advance to the USTA Missouri Valley Junior Team Tennis Section Championships on July 16-17 at Edmond Center Court in Edmond, Okla.
