USTA Missouri Elects New Board of Directors
USTA Missouri has a new board of directors with several familiar names again serving this term.
Mallory Weber will again be the board’s president. Weber — who works as community tennis manager at Springfield’s Cooper Tennis Complex — will serve her second term as president after stepping into the role two years ago.
Larry Huitt is the board’s vice president/secretary. Huitt held the post of first vice president his previous term on the board and is taking on the added responsibility of secretary. Amy Mathew was the district’s secretary previously but won’t be serving on the board this term, as she instead steps into the spot of USTA Missouri adult league coordinator.
“Amy was an asset to the board with her knowledge of adult play,” Weber said. “I’m thrilled she is continuing to serve the district as our adult league coordinator.”
Bill Lingenfelser will once again serve as the board’s treasurer, and Kyle Wartick will again be a director at large for the board. Joining Wartick as a director at large is legendary Rock Bridge High School boys’ and girls’ tennis head coach Ben Loeb. Loeb — Missouri’s all-time winningest high school tennis coach — recently semi-retired from Rock Bridge. He’s continuing to coach the girls’ program while no longer coaching the boys’ team.
“I’m excited Larry, Bill and Kyle are all returning,” Weber said. “Their knowledge of the district and commitment to serve is part of the reason our district has shown growth. I am also honored and excited to begin my second term as president. We have seen tremendous growth the past two years, and I’m looking forward to strengthening our district in the upcoming years.”
