Play your way: USTA Flex Leagues bring flexibility to local tennis in OKC, Tulsa

Blair Schluter | April 30, 2026

The USTA is making it easier than ever for players of all levels to get on the court with its growing Flex Leagues, a program designed to fit tennis into even the busiest schedules.

Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a returning player or picking up a racquet for the first time, the USTA Flex app connects players with local competition at a time that works best for them. With no paid USTA membership required, the program removes traditional barriers and opens the door for more people to get involved in the game.

Flex Leagues are built around convenience and connection. Players can use the app to find a season, get matched with opponents at a similar skill level and schedule matches on their own time.

The format allows participants to meet new players, improve their game and compete without the structure of traditional leagues. Standings are tracked directly in the app, making it easy to follow progress throughout the season.

In Oklahoma, Flex Leagues are offered in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa, with the upcoming summer season scheduled for June 8 through Aug. 16. The fall season is slated for Sept. 14 to Nov. 8. Players can choose from singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions, all played in a round-robin format to ensure consistent match play.

In addition to the social and competitive benefits, results from Flex League matches count toward World Tennis Number, providing a global WTN rating that helps players track improvement and find evenly matched competition.

By combining flexibility, accessibility and meaningful competition, USTA Flex Leagues continue to grow as an appealing option for players looking to stay active, meet others and enjoy the game on their own terms.
