USTA St. Louis Teams Advance to Section Championships

Several USTA St. Louis teams have advanced to the USTA Missouri Valley League Section Championships, and two squads have already punched their ticket to the 2023 USTA National Championships.

 

As District Championships conclude and teams prepare for their next stage of competition, USTA St. Louis is providing a roundup of who has progressed thus far and where they’ll be playing next. Congratulations to the following teams, and best of luck to all players still to represent USTA St. Louis at the Section Championships!

The 18+ Gadsky 5.0-level women’s team has progressed straight through to USTA League Nationals. The squad will compete at Nationals on September 29-October 1 in Tucson. Rose Albrecht’s 65+ 6.0 women’s team claimed the Section Invitational on July 14-16 in Overland Park. The team will represent USTA St. Louis and the Valley at the USTA League 65 & Over Invitational on February 2-4, 2024 in Surprise, Arizona.

 

USTA St. Louis again hosted the opening weekend of the Section Championships on August 4-6 at Dwight Davis Tennis Center and Westminster Christian Academy. Teams competing at the 18+ 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 levels — as well as 55+ squads at the 7.0 and 9.0 levels — battled in St. Louis with berths to Nationals on the line.
