U.S. boys win ITF World Junior Tennis title, girls finish as the runners-up
The United States won the boys' title at the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, the world's premier 14-and-under team competition, while the American girls finished runner-up. The competition took place over the past six days in Prostejov, Czech Republic.
The U.S. boys defeated Brazil, 2-0, in Saturday's final, capping off a dominant run that saw the Americans go undefeated across pool play and the knockout rounds. Meanwhile, the U.S. girls fell to the Czech Republic, 2-1.
The United States has now won seven World Junior Tennis boys' titles (2002-03, 2008, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2024), tying the seven titles won by the U.S. girls (1992, 2007-10, 2013, 2017).
