U.S. junior girls win ITF World Junior Tennis title, boys finish as finalists

August 11, 2025

In a reverse of last year’s results, the United States won the girls’ title at the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, the world’s premier 14-and-under team competition, while the American boys finished runner-up. The competition took place over the past six days in Prostejov, Czechia.

The U.S. girls defeated Canada, 2-1, in Saturday’s final, winning the decisive doubles rubber for the second consecutive match to clinch the American girls' first World Junior Tennis title since 2017. Meanwhile, the U.S. boys, who entered the event as the reigning champions, fell to France, 2-0, in Saturday's boys' final.

The U.S. has now won eight World Junior Tennis girls’ titles (1992, 2007-10, 2013, 2017, 2025) and seven World Junior Tennis boys’ titles (2002-03, 2008, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2024).
