May 08, 2025

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced today the players who will represent the United States at the ITF World Team Championships, which will be held from May 11-16 in various tennis venues around Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The tournament is the masters equivalent of the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup competitions, where top American tennis players represent their country in the 60+, 65+, and 70+ age groups.

American athletes continue to show the longevity of playing tennis as they brought home two team titles and six individual titles last year at the 2024 ITF World Championships. The men’s team took home the Von Cramm Cup (men’s 60 & over) and the women’s team claimed the Kitty Godfrey Cup (women’s 65 & over).

Following the ITF World Team Championships, the individual championships will be held from May 17 to 24.  American athletes will look to repeat the success of last year which saw them bring home several titles at the 2024 World Individual Championships.

The individual events saw titles won in the following categories: mixed 60+ doubles – Scott Works (USA) & Frans Grimbergen (NED); women's 60+ doubles - Vicki Buholz (USA) & Christine Paulsen (USA); women’s 65+ singles – Carolyn Nichols (USA); women’s 65+ doubles – USA’s Carolyn Nichols & Anne Frautschi; mixed 65+ doubles – Susan Wright (USA) & Paul French (GBR) and women’s 70+ doubles – USA’s Una Davis & Elizabeth Kuhle.
