USTA NEW ENGLAND AND WILSON SPORTING GOODS EXTEND LONGSTANDING SPONSORSHIP OF TENNIS IN THE PARKS
WESTBOROUGH, MA – The United States Tennis Association of New England (USTANE) is thrilled to announce a multi-year extension of its partnership with Wilson Sporting Goods. A sponsor since 2019, Wilson will continue to serve as the Official Sponsor of Tennis in the Parks, ensuring the sport remains accessible and vibrant across the region’s public spaces.
This extension celebrates a deep-rooted collaboration that has fundamentally changed how tennis is delivered in local communities. Since the partnership’s inception, the Tennis in the Parks program has grown exponentially, evolving from a pilot project in nine towns into a regional success that has served more than 16,500 youth and adult participants.
“Our relationship with Wilson is far more than a traditional sponsorship; it is a shared mission,” said Lindsey Keeler, USTA New England Executive Director and CEO. “For the past seven years, Wilson has been at the heart of making tennis a game for everyone. By putting high-quality equipment directly into the hands of thousands of new players in our public parks, they have proven their unwavering dedication to the grassroots growth of the game.”
Tennis in the Parks provides affordable, high-quality instruction on public courts. A hallmark of the Wilson partnership is providing free racquets to youth participants, ensuring every player, regardless of background, has the tools needed to succeed from day one.
Key milestones of the partnership include:
16,500+ Registrations: Juniors and adults all over New England have found the sport or come back to it after a long hiatus through the program.
Equipment Accessibility: Thousands of Wilson® racquets have been distributed to players across New England who play in Tennis in the Parks for the first time.
Community Expansion: Scaling the program from serving a dozen children at the start of the partnership to a premier regional offering hosted at more than 75 parks and recreation departments across the section.
Wilson will continue supporting both competitive and recreational tennis in New England for players of all ages and abilities within the Tennis in the Parks program and beyond.
The spring season of Tennis in the Parks is now open for registration. Click here to view the programs.
