USTA NEW ENGLAND AND ATLAS TENNIS PARTNER TO LAUNCH $5,000 INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR JUNIOR PLAYERS

WESTBOROUGH, MA - USTA New England (USTANE) and Atlas Tennis are thrilled to announce a new year-long strategic partnership aimed at expanding global opportunities for young athletes. The collaboration officially kicks off with the launch of a scholarship program, providing one New England junior player with a $5,000 scholarship to attend an Atlas Tennis international trip in summer 2026. Details on Atlas Tennis trips can be found here.

The partnership bridges the gap between New England’s local competitive circuit and the global tennis stage. Beyond the grand-prize scholarship, the initiative ensures more players can access these life-changing experiences by offering a $1,000 discount to the scholarship runner-up and $500 off for all other qualified applicants from the region.

"By partnering with Atlas Tennis, we are opening doors to international training and cultural immersion. We are proud to support a program that rewards the dedication and ambition of our junior players,” said Alex Wesley, Director of Marketing for USTA New England.

Junior players can choose to apply from four premier 2026 itineraries:

  • Atlas Tennis Signature Summer: Spain, Netherlands & Switzerland (June 27 – July 17)

  • The Castles to Coasts Trip: Scotland, France & Portugal (June 27 – July 19)

  • The Bucket List Trip: UK, Spain & Netherlands (June 28 – July 19)

  • The Legendary Trip: UK, Sweden & Spain (June 30 – July 19)

In addition to travel opportunities, the partnership will bring high-level expertise to the region through an exclusive educational session with Eric Butorac, former ATP pro, US Open Tournament Director and Senior Director of Player Relations and Business Development for the USTA.

“Our mission is to create life changing experiences by bringing young people together through tennis and travel, and we are thrilled for the chance to work with USTA New England to create these unique opportunities for more players. It's particularly exciting for us given the rich tennis history and culture of New England, and we can't wait to share that with players from around the world,” said Ben Shapiro, Director and Partner for Atlas Tennis.

The scholarship is open to junior players ages 13–18 residing within the USTA New England section (CT - minus Greenwich, MA, ME, NH, RI and VT).

Application Launch: January 8, 2026

Application Deadline: March 1, 2026

Recipient Announced: March 10, 2026
