Become a USTA Midwest Section Volunteer

If you’re looking for a fun and rewarding way to give back to the sport, consider becoming a volunteer!  Mirroring the USTA national structure, the Midwest Section is a volunteer-driven organization with various committees working closely with paid staff to provide support and resources to junior and adult programs and initiatives. 


Please consider how you can apply your skills and tennis background in a volunteer role and help the association fulfill its mission of growing and servicing the game!

 

APPLICATION WINDOW REOPENED FOR SOME 2020-21 USTA/MIDWEST SECTION LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

The USTA/Midwest Nominating Committee is pleased to announce that in an effort to continue the goal of diversity and geographic representation in USTA/Midwest leadership positions, the application window for positions on the Nominating Committee and as a Delegate-At-Large for the 2020-21 term will be reopened for additional applicants starting February 15, 2019 and extended until March 15, 2019. ADVERTISEMENT Fill out the application here.
 

Only individuals who have not already applied for a leadership position for the 2020-21 term need submit an application for possible selection to the Nominating Committee or as a Delegate-At-Large.
 

Selection Process Timelines for Reopened Application Window
 

  • February 15, 2019: Online application process opens again.
  • March 15, 2019: Online application process is closed at the end of the day.
  •  July 19-21, 2019: In-Person interviews conducted in Indianapolis.
  • September 1, 2019: Slate presented for consideration for election by the USTA/Midwest Section membership.

 

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

Application and information about USTA/Midwest leadership positions, including Nominating Committee and Delegate-At-Large, and the unique skills necessary for these roles is available on the USTA/Midwest website. Please note, applying for a leadership position is not a guarantee that you will be selected for an interview or a leadership position.
