USTA Iowa Hosts "Lunch & Learn" CTA Summit
USTA Iowa recently hosted a Community Tennis Association (CTA) summit in Ames to help local associations connect with each other. Jethro's BBQ hosted the summit, which was part of USTA Iowa's CTA Connect pathway grant. USTA Iowa Tennis Service Representative John Terpkosh led the afternoon full of seminars and information.
The agenda included district meetings and updates, as well as resources for current CTAs. It also included a "Share & Shine" segment where CTAs could share some of their success stories from throughout the year.
"USTA Iowa is establishing this pathway for Community Tennis Associations (CTA); to help organize, connect and financially assist in their development within the district and their interaction with the district," said Terpkosh. "The district has identified four phases of CTA development or involvement and has assessed a dollar value USTA Iowa will pay your CTA for participating in this grant and reaching that particular phase."
Overall, representatives from five CTAs attended the meeting. If you'd like to learn more about current opportunities, reach out to Terpkosh at jterpkosh@movalley.usta.com.
