Six of the nation's top juniors will represent the United States at the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, the world’s premier 14-and-under team competition, next month in Prostejov, Czech Republic. The USTA announced the boys' and girls' teams on Wednesday for the event, which will run from Aug. 7-12.

The boys' team includes Izyan Ahmad (13; Wayne, N.J.), Marcel Latak (14; Burr Ridge, Ill.) and Jordan Lee (13; Orlando, Fla.). They will be captained by Jon Glover.

The girls' team is made up of Nancy Lee (14; Belmont, Mass.), Annika Penickova (13; Campbell, Calif.) and Kristina Penickova (13; Campbell, Calif.), with Thierry Champion serving as captain.

Ahmad, Latak and the Penickova sisters all competed in the Wimbledon 14-and-under singles event earlier this month.

The American boys’ and girls’ teams advanced through World Junior Tennis qualifying in April and will compete in the 16-team Finals, which consist of pool play followed by the knockout round. Each matchup consists of two singles matches and one doubles match.

The U.S. has won seven World Junior Tennis girls’ titles (1992, 2007-10, 2013, 2017) and six boys’ titles in the competition (2002-03, 2008, 2012, 2018, 2019).
