Keaton Hance, Jordan Lee and Janae Preston to compete at the 2026 World Tennis Tour Junior Finals
Three Americans— Keaton Hance (18; Torrance, Calif.), Jordan Lee (16; Orlando, Fla.), and Janae Preston (16; Henderson, Nev.)—are among the 16 confirmed competitors who will compete at the World Tennis Tour Junior Finals, set to take place October 21-25 on outdoor hard courts at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, China. They’ll be joined by USTA national coach Felipe Mantilla.
The event brings together eight of the world’s best boys and girls and is the junior equivalent of the ATP and WTA Finals. Similar to those events, the competition features round-robin singles play followed by a knockout round, with critical ranking points and travel grants awarded to the winners and other late-round performers to benefit their development in 2027.
The boys’ and girls’ champions will each receive 1,000 junior ranking points—the same as a junior Grand Slam event. A stronger year-end junior ranking will help secure a player’s entry into higher-level professional tournaments in 2027 through World Tennis’ Junior Accelerator Programme.
This event will also support players’ transition to the professional circuit with travel grant money. Players will have access to over $220,000 in travel grants through this event this year, with both the boys’ and girls’ champions receiving up to $23,000. Additional funding will go to all top-eight finishers.
All three Americans competing have had successful 2026 campaigns on the international junior circuit. Lee won the boys’ singles title as a qualifier at Wimbledon, while Hance was the boys’ singles runner-up at the Australian Open and reached the boys’ singles and doubles semifinals at Roland Garros. Preston, meanwhile, has won four J300 titles on three different surfaces in four countries and reached the semifinals on her Wimbledon girls’ singles debut.
Since its debut in 2015, the World Tennis Tour Junior Finals have proved to be an important stepping stone for many of today’s stars—from Grand Slam champions Elena Rybakina, Sofia Kenin and Jelena Ostapenko to Casper Ruud, Holger Rune, Andrey Rublev, Qinwen Zheng, Rafael Jodar, Taylor Fritz, Leylah Fernandez, Lorenzo Musetti, Marta Kostyuk and Camila Osorio.
The full field of this year's competitors is available via the World Tennis Juniors website.
