2025 League Award Winners

Captain of the Year: Caitlin Hennessey

“It is an absolute honor to be named NWW USTA Captain of the Year. To me, this award represents the culmination of a year of working with a truly special team whose members are both excellent tennis players and people. There were so many enjoyable aspects of captaining, but my favorite was organizing team practices and scrimmages. The team really threw themselves into training and it was inspiring to see them build their skills and gain confidence.”

Sportsmanship Award: Molly Fort

“It really means a lot to me [winning this award] since walking the line between being competitive and having fun on the court isn’t easy. Receiving a shoutout like this encourages me to keep in mind how lucky we all are to have time, facilities and organizations that make the game accessible. It’s hard to argue against the statement that tennis is the world’s healthiest sport. I have enjoyed playing sports and being active my entire life, and tennis is obviously a fantastic way to stay in shape. But here in the PNW, USTA has provided an especially supportive community I feel very lucky to have stepped into, and the friendships I’ve made on the court continue to grow the more I play.”
